Houston The parents of Jordan Cappuccino, 20, are calling for the public to help find and identify the people responsible for their son’s death.
Jordan was shot dead early Saturday morning after investigators from the Houston Police Department said a group of men had robbed him and his friends.
“He was my world. He was my world,” said his mother, Laura Cappuccino.
Jordan was the youngest of six children and was described as a big, kind-hearted man.
Jordan was loving and caring. Joel Cappuccino said: “He was young and would help anyone.
The investigator told KPRC that Jordan and his friends were in the parking lot of a nightclub when a group of men approached them inside a pickup truck, then were held at gunpoint.
Court records said the suspects were after a $7,000 gold necklace worn by a friend of Jordan.
According to the police, Jordan and his friends followed the responsible men into their own car and eventually found themselves face to face with the suspects.
The men then opened fire on the Jordanian pickup truck near the intersection of Maybank Drive and Silber Road.
Jordan was taken to the hospital but did not survive.
Police have since arrested Daniel Medrano, 20, in connection with the case.
He was charged with premeditated murder.
The Capuchinos told KPRC that they would not stop fighting until everyone involved in or associated with their son’s murder was behind bars.
“We’ll find who did this. I said, ‘Lord, you have the last word!'” Laura Cappuccino said: “In many matters, you take the wheel and bring every responsible person to justice.”
