Instagram influencer Sumner Straw apparently responded on Tuesday shortly after Adam Levine refuted her allegations that she had an extramarital affair.
“Get a dictionary for this guy,” Straw wrote on her Instagram story.
Hours earlier, Maroon 5 lead singer Levine addressed the accusations made by Stroh in a viral TikTok video that has been viewed more than 18 million times since it was posted on Monday.
In a statement posted to his Instagram story, Levine admitted that he “crossed the line” and exercised “poor judgment in speaking to anyone other than my wife in any flirtatious way.”
He wrote, “I never had an affair, however, crossed the line during an unfortunate period of my life.” “In some cases this has become inappropriate. I have addressed this and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family.”
The singer has been married to Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo since 2014. They have two daughters, ages 4 and 5. Prinsloo recently announced that she is pregnant with their third child.
In Stroh’s version, she and Levine have been seeing each other for about a year. She accused him of calling her after they stopped talking to ask if he could name his next child after her.
“I was in a relationship with a man married to a Victoria’s Secret model. At the time, I was young, I was naive.”
She featured screenshots of purported Instagram exchanges with Levine in which the singer appeared to have written her direct messages like “It’s really unreal how controversial you are” and “You’re 50 times hotter.”
She also shared a screenshot of the purported message he sent months later, which read: “Okay serious question. I have another baby and if he is [a] Oh boy, I really want to call him Sumner. Are you ok with this? Dead Gad.”
She insisted that she never planned to advance the story but did so after a friend who sent her the screenshot tried to sell it to a tabloid.
She claimed in a follow-up video shared later on Monday that she was involved in the affair because Levine gave her the impression that his marriage to Prinsloo was over.
“I thought they were keeping quiet to avoid negative press,” she said. “I am fully aware that I am not a victim in this. I am not the one who is really getting hurt here. It is Bhatti and her children and for that I am so sorry.”
