Apple iphone: Apple is working on new ways to save power on future iPhones

San Francisco, Tech giant Apple is said to be looking into how the iPhone of the future could save power by turning off automatically when you’re not paying attention to the media.

Every Apple Pencil can play music or some type of audio, and most have microphones, AppleInsider reports.

The tech giant wants to use these microphones, and many other sensors, to determine if you’re paying attention.

The newly disclosed patent application, “Proactive Actions Based on Voice and Body Motion,” can be applied to any Apple device, but is specifically about turning off sound.

The report said that this is specifically about turning it off in order to conserve battery power rather than wasting it on something you are no longer interested in.

There are other possibilities, such as displaying information about an artist when it is discovered that you are interested in them.

But as with most patent applications, this one is more focused on identifying your inattention and less precisely on what actions can follow.

Apple even said that “different actions can be performed proactively based on the identification of content interest” for the music or other audio being played.
