People Recently I was shocked to learn that Bryce Dallas Howard was paid much less than her jurassic world Co-starring Chris Pratt.
“When I started negotiating for Jurassic“It was 2014, and it was a different world, and I was at a very disadvantage,” Howard said in an interview with Insider. “And unfortunately, you have to sign up for three movies, so your deals are decided.”
According to reports, Pratt reportedly received $10 million (44.6 million RM) while Howard only received 8 million USD (35.7 million RM) for her work in the second installment. However, Howard noted that the amount she paid was actually much less than the stated amount.
Fortunately, Pratt, with whom Howard shared her complaints on the wage issue, worked to improve pay inequality.
Although most of the terms had already been fixed, Pratt insisted that the two were paid equally in other areas such as movie licensing deals.
“I would love him so much to do that,” Howard added.
“I’m really doing it, because I’ve been paid more for these kinds of things than I’ve ever been for a movie.”
She added that Pratt pointed out that this disparity is ridiculous. During interviews to promote the film, Pratt repeatedly claimed that Howard was “actually the secret weapon” when it came to filmmaking.
“If you’re making a movie and have the opportunity to get her involved in any way, you totally do,” Pratt told Entertainment Tonight in a separate interview. “And she’d be better in the end because she was involved.”
Despite the inequality, Howard remains grateful for her participation in the franchise.
“I am so happy these films made it into the studio. I absolutely adore everyone I have worked with, and we will be a family for life. What could you ask for more than anything in life?”
