Bulgaria Industrial Production September 2022

Industrial production expanded 11.0% year-on-year in September, which followed August’s 18.4% increase. The results posted the weakest reading since October 2021. The slowdown was largely driven by deteriorating industrial production growth. In contrast, mining production fell at a slower pace.

On a monthly basis, factory output fell 1.7% in seasonally adjusted terms in September, in contrast to August’s 0.2% increase, which was the worst result since April 2020. Meanwhile, the average annual growth of industrial production in August was unchanged by 15.6%. % in September.

Committee members see industrial production growing 1.6% in 2023, down 0.4 percentage points from last month’s forecast, and 1.9% in 2024.
