• 8:30 am EST Initial weekly unemployment claims The report will be released. The consensus is 220,000 initial claims, up from 204,000 last week.
• Also, at 8:30 am, The Consumer price index for the month of December from BLS. The consensus is for a 0.1% increase in the CPI, and a 0.3% increase in the core CPI. The consensus is for CPI to rise 6.5% yoy and core CPI to rise 5.7% yoy.
