Corrections: November 17, 2022 – The New York Times

An article on Tuesday about Iran’s ballistic missile and drone attacks on opposition bases in Iraqi Kurdistan incorrectly referred to a school in the area. The school has only been refurbished by the United Nations refugee agency; It was not an agency school.

A Wednesday article about University of Virginia football coach Tony Elliott remembering the three players killed in Sunday’s shooting misstated the first name of the University of Virginia’s athletic director. It’s Carla Williams, not Kara Williams.

Saturday’s article on a new play, “Elian,” which explores the pain and anger that gripped Miami during the months-long custody battle with 6-year-old Elian Gonzalez, who miscalculated the number of survivors after a boat capsized while fleeing Cuba in 1999. Elian Gonzalez is one of three survivors, not the only one.
