Crowds of people will be the “eyes and ears” of the Queen’s funeral

Former Metropolitan Police Commissioner Lord Bernard Hogan Howe says British police officers build good relationships with the crowds attending Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral because “people know strange things when they see them”.

“You need this crowd of thousands of people to be your eyes and ears,” he told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“So it’s all logged together that starts to build some confidence that this will work and that it will work.”
