Digital Sign Language Features: Microsoft Teams 3

Microsoft is launching a new offering dedicated to sign language on its Microsoft Teams video conferencing platform feature. It is able to enable sign language for users and they can select up to two videos of other participants to be in the central location.

This allows designated signers to be visible to users during any given meeting. Microsoft notes that Teams users are able to enable the feature for all of their meetings or simply by selecting a meeting individually. This can be useful for signatories who are not hard of hearing and interpreters can be assigned before the meeting starts if they work in the organization. External translators are assigned using the Accessibility tab in the application settings.
