Dutton notes he’s “reluctant” on backing vocal: Clennell

It has been said for some time that the Indigenous vote in Parliament would “struggle” to succeed in a constitutional referendum without bipartisan support, says Sky News’ political editor Andrew Clennell.

Polls at present show that the proposal will die out. “But that’s before you run into too much opposition,” Clenell said.

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton indicated again on Sunday’s agenda that he was reluctant to support the vote.
