Eddie Monson’s Role Saves Actor Joseph Quinn From ‘Airport Prison’

Quinn, the British actor who plays Monson, recently revealed to Jimmy Fallon Tonight Show That the role allowed him to escape from the airport detention case on his way to his appearance.

“I almost failed,” Quinn said. “I was picked up, I guess you could call it more of a dungeon. I was told to wait there for about 20 minutes and then called into this office where someone asked me ‘What are you doing in the States, sir?'”

I said, ‘I’m actually here to meet Jimmy Fallon on ‘The Tonight Show.’ And he didn’t believe me.”

The actor was almost never allowed into the country, until a second immigration officer recognized him as the president of the Hellfire Club in the series.

Quinn said, “One of his classmates looked at him, and he looked at me, and he said, ‘Leave Eddie alone! Then (the colleague) said, ‘It’s Eddie from Something strangeAnd he was like, “You’re Eddie Monson?”

Quinn continued, “(The man asked me), are you coming back next season?” I was like, ‘I don’t know,’ and he said, ‘You’re better,’ and he gave me my passport.”
