google: Google’s appeal against CCI penalty: SC asks the tech giant, “Why the different steps for Europe and India?” The Economic Times video

The Supreme Court on Monday asked tech giant Google if it would apply the same system in India as it does in Europe with regard to pre-installed apps in Android mobile phones. The bench of Justices DY Chandrachud, Justices PS Narasimha and JB Pardiwala posted the case for hearing on January 18. The Supreme Court was hearing an appeal from Google India against the ruling of NCLAT, which refused to suspend a penalty of SEK 1,337.76. The tech giant was sued by CCI for alleged anti-competitive practices.
