Chrome browsers

First, update your Google Chrome browser

Before you see my tips below, make sure you follow these instructions to update your Google Chrome browser. About every six weeks (if not earlier), Google updates its browser and often updates it along the way with security updates and other smaller cosmetic changes.

How to delete autofill in Google Chrome (Mac)

  • Opens Chrome
  • In the upper right corner of your screen, tap 3 vertical points (It should be next to your profile picture)
  • click settings
  • In the left panel, select Autofill
  • A list of items that use autofill (such as a password manager, payment methods, etc.) will appear. Click each one you don’t want to use and autofill Switch everything

How to clear existing autofill data in Chrome (Mac)

  • Opens Chrome
  • In the upper right corner of your screen, tap 3 vertical points (It should be next to your profile picture)
  • Choose Dateand choose Date again from the menu that appears
  • In the panel on the left, select Clear browsing data
  • Click on Advanced tab
  • In the date range menu, select All time (This step may depend on which version of Chrome you’re using)
  • Make sure Autofill form data It is deselected. Select any other options you want to clear

  • Click on 3 points bottom right of the screen
  • Scroll down a bit and select Clear browsing data
  • Set the time range at the top of the screen to say All time
  • Make sure Autofill data It is deselected
  • Choose Clear browsing data, and then Clear browsing data again to confirm

How to delete Autofill in Safari (Mac)

  • Opens Safari
  • At the top of your screen next to the Apple icon, tap Safari
  • click settings
  • Choose Autofill
  • Deselect Usernames and passwordsas well as any options for which you don’t want Safari to save autofill information

  • Opens Safari
  • At the top of your screen next to the Apple icon, tap Safari
  • Choose clear date
  • In the clear listDetermination All history

  • Choose settings
  • Choose Privacy and security
  • Under Logins and passwordsdeselect Ask to save logins and passwords for websites.
  • To clear your saved logins and passwords, tap Saved logins
  • Remove Any logins you don’t want saved

  • Click on 3 horizontal lines in the lower right corner
  • Choose settings
  • Under Privacy, Faucet Data management
  • Choose Clear private data and press yes For confirmation

  • Choose settings
  • The list should default to appearance. If not, select this option from menu on the left.
