mygov: MyGov has helped citizens connect with the government: Minister of Information Technology

The use of technology and platforms such as MyGov has enabled citizens to benefit from various government services and plans, the Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnau, said on Saturday during an event in New Delhi.

While talking about MyGov 2.0, he said that the platform helped citizens connect with the government and encouraged more citizens to share their ideas.

Vaishnau also launched the Responsible Artificial Intelligence for Youth 2022 initiative, which was established by the Ministry’s National e-Governance Division, Intel India and the Ministry of Education.

The ministry said in a statement that the program will be open to all school students studying in grades 8 to 12 to promote a deeper understanding of AI technology and encourage young people to become human-centered designers.

“I am extremely proud of the MyGov team for doing everything they can to ensure that citizens’ expectations are met through participatory governance,” said Abhishek Singh, CEO of MyGov.

MyGov is the Indian government’s citizen engagement platform launched in 2014. It is a one-stop destination for citizens to contribute their unique skills to nation building while bridging the communication gap by disseminating information in various forms and media.
