At least 13 people were killed and 35 others injured after a fire broke out early Friday morning in a nightclub in Thailand, police said.
Police said the fire broke out around 1 a.m. at the Mountain Bee nightclub, a one-story building in Sattahip district of Chonburi province, southeast of Bangkok.
Located about 30 kilometers south of Pattaya, Sattahip is a popular tourist destination.
Police Colonel Wotipong Somjae told CNN that the fire occurred during a live music show.
He said burn injuries ranged from “light to serious”, and an investigation into the cause of the fire was underway.
He said all the victims were Thais.
