Business mogul Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has pulled the plug on the collaboration between his Yeezy brand and clothing company GAP, according to Sky News business correspondent Ingrid Welling. “West’s attorneys sent a letter to GAP notifying them that Yeezy LLC is terminating the arrangement, due to GAP’s violation of not releasing clothing or opening retail stores as planned,” she said. West says GAP has not allowed him to set price points and he believes CEOs have not treated him as a leader. Ms Welling said the move came after months of the singer’s social media posts and an interview where he indicated he wanted to “move forward on his own”. Since the news came, both companies’ shares have fallen, with GAP down nearly 4 percent in US trade.
