Presley’s granddaughters will inherit Graceland

Public A memorial service for the late Lisa Marie Presley will be held January 22 at Graceland, her late father Elvis Presley’s 5.6-hectare home in Memphis, Tennessee.

Elvis purchased the property in 1957 at the age of 22. After his death in 1977, Lisa Marie inherited the property when she was twenty-five years old.

According to Yahoo Entertainment, the property, which is in a trust, will pass to her three surviving daughters: Riley Keough, 33, and 14-year-old twins Harper and Finley Lockwood.

Lisa Marie will be buried at Graceland next to her son Benjamin, who died by suicide in 2020.

A representative for Keough told Yahoo, “Instead of flowers, the family is encouraging everyone who would like to send something to do so in the form of a donation to the Elvis Presley Foundation.”

The Foundation provides assistance to many organizations, with a particular focus on arts, education, and children’s programs in the Memphis/Whitehaven area near Graceland.

TMZ reports that the twins have been spending so much time at Grandma Priscilla Presley’s house in Los Angeles that they reportedly don’t want to go home as their mother, Lisa Marie, had a heart attack.

“She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I’ve ever known,” said Priscilla. “We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers.”
