September 1971 – He earns his wings for flying jets at Royal Air Force College Cranwell and joins the Royal Navy.

1974 – He qualifies as a helicopter pilot and joins the 845th Naval Air Squadron on HMS Hermes. Two years later he finished his military service, and took command of a coastal mining company, HMS Bronington.

December 9, 2010 – Student protesters breached security on the streets of London’s West End and attacked a 1977 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI carrying Charles and Camilla to a show at the London Palladium. The couple escapes any physical harm. Students protest high tuition fees.

May 8, 2013 – Attending the opening of Parliament for the first time in 17 years. This is the first time he and the Duchess of Cornwall have attended the inauguration together.

March 2015 – He is visiting the United States with Camilla. The trip includes a tour of Mount Vernon, a meeting with President Barack Obama and a festival in Louisville, Kentucky.
