Tired of the powerful Mansion and Cinema ride? Watch this
Joe Manchin and Kirsten Sinema are on a power trip, but we can make them irrelevant after this year’s election.
Right now, we only have 48 true Democrats in the Senate. Mansion and Cinema are democrats in name only – and they allow the idler to block the Democrats’ agenda.
They act like the king and queen on the Democrats’ agenda, deciding for themselves to prevent decisive measures.
Well, it’s time to dethrone them, and have a Democratic Senate actually deliver – doing what it takes to get 50 votes to cut out the disruption. Only then can we protect voting rights, legalize Roe v Wade, pass global background checks on arms sales, and protect the planet.
So the question in the medium term is how to get to 50 real Democrats.
The math isn’t complicated, friends.
We already have 36 Democratic or independent senators who vote with Democrats — who aren’t ready to be reelected. Add to that the 7 who are in the Democratic seats safely. This gives us 43.
We also need to defend those five who have a good chance of winning if we do what we can to help them.
We also have reasonable odds of winning 2 to 3 true Democratic senators:
Jon Fetterman, of Pennsylvania, supports and has pledged to completely abolish the deactivation “Be this 51 vote” To pass voting rights, legalize Roe v Wade, legalize marijuana, raise minimum wage, and much more. He’s running against the famous snake oil seller Dr. Oz, who was endorsed by Trump.
Also supports Tim Ryan in Ohio Deactivation, citing the need to pass labor protection measures, raise the minimum wage, protect voting rights, and act on the climate. His opponent is author and venture capitalist J.D. Vance, who has been promoting Trump’s Big Lie and, once again, endorsed by Trump.
In Wisconsin, Mandela Barnes supports deactivation of Fighting voter suppression and protecting democracy. He will face current Republican Ron Johnson – another proponent of Trump’s Big Lie – who, when democracy was under attack on January 6, was busy trying to hand fake voters over to the vice president.
If we win seven of these crucial races, we’ll have a truly democratic Senate that is not dependent on King Joe or Queen Kirsten.
With only two Democrats in the Senate, Manchin and Cinema would be irrelevant—and Democrats could finally make it—without stalling.
Friends, it is possible. Focus on these nine crucial Senate races, and let’s make it happen!
