Framework, the company best known for fully repairable laptops, has announced a new partnership with Google where the companies will create a line of repairable Chromebooks. The resulting laptops will run Chrome OS, which means they will natively support Android apps as well as a number of PC apps. The Framework Chromebook has the same screen size and form factor as other 13-inch laptops in the Framework. This means that the Chromebook features a 13.5-inch 3:2 aspect ratio and 2,256 x 1,504 display resolution.
Aside from its screen, the Chromebook Framework includes a 1080p, 60fps webcam for making high-quality office calls. The laptop also features a manual cut-out for the microphone and camera feed for privacy reasons. In terms of performance components, the laptop is powered by an Intel i5-1240P mobile processor and 8GB of DDR4 RAM. The laptop features expandable storage, but comes with a 256GB SSD by default.
