Serbia rejects EU draft on Kosovo as President Vucic addresses the UN General Assembly

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic rejected the EU’s draft interim document to solve the Kosovo problem. Mr. Vucic used the UN General Assembly to explain the parallels between the war in Ukraine and Kosovo’s independence.

In his speech, Vucic said: “We demand a clear answer to the question I put to my interlocutors. What is the difference between the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia? It has been flagrantly violated and given international recognition and legitimacy, at least some of you. No one has ever given a logical answer on this question “.

Last week, Vucic rejected a 10-year road map for recognition of Kosovo, which was put on the table by the European Union’s special envoy, headed by Miroslav Lajac, and his French and German advisers.
