The Social Security System (SSS) has announced its willingness to grant a disaster assistance package to members and retirees in areas that the National Council for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management will declare as under disaster condition.

The disaster assistance package will consist of the Disaster Loan Assistance Program (CLAP) and a three-month advance pension for retirees, said Michael Regino, president and CEO of SSS.

This comes in light of the recent strong earthquake that hit the governorates of Abra and its surroundings last Wednesday.

More details will be posted on all SSS social media pages via the uSSSap Tayo portal at, on Facebook at “SSS-Philippines” and Instagram and YouTube at “mysssph” Twitter on “PHLSSS” or its Viber community on “MYSSSPH Updates.”
