Tennis Australia has turned the Australian Open into a ‘wake up festival’

Tennis Australia has turned the Australian Open into a “wake-up fest” after introducing a “mob ticket” price for First Nations day at the tournament, says commentator Steve Price.

Tennis Australia gave First Nation personnel a $10 discount for a ground pass on day three of the International.

“It’s getting worse,” admitted Tennis Australia coach Craig Tiley… “There was no check to check whether you were in fact Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.”

“Sheer insanity – it would be funny if it wasn’t so serious, that tennis ticket prices are divided by race.”
