amazing is an eight-episode Netflix original series, written by Kim Ji-hee and directed by Kim Jung-hyun. The TV series explores the adventures of a group of friends determined to tackle the challenges of joining the fashion industry in Seoul. Both friends aspire to one of the major jobs in the industry.
The plot of the series is pretty straightforward, but it’s incredibly interesting that the creators chose to tell it through the fashion industry’s point of view. Ji Woo-min (Choi Min-ho) attracts everyone with his shy, carefree smile.
He makes a smooth job of switching from being vulnerable and acting like a sweet likable boy. On the other hand, Ji-eun’s (Chae Soo-bin) life is beautiful, and perhaps a little flawless in her own right. It was good to see more development and progression in her character.
There’s always someone to save the day for her whenever she gets into trouble at work, which goes to show how her perfect career has ended up. The Fabulous places great emphasis on friendship throughout, using the world of fashion as the perfect backdrop for all of its ups and downs. This TV series was attractive to watch because of its focus on friendship.
This was made possible by the four cast members’ great chemistry, which effectively conveyed their close relationship. With them in your bag, you might start to think anything is possible. In terms of their relationship, Ji Woo-min and Pyo Ji-eun have a casual love affair in retrospect, with a bit of romance punctuating the many situations when he helped her and she blamed it for everything. for him.
Honestly, I didn’t notice any romantic spark between Min-ho and Soo-bin. Given how the show started, I was expecting more chemistry, but there isn’t much. Also, since I don’t like love triangles, it was stressful watching this series because at this point all I wanted was for Ji-eun to choose a partner and resume the story.
Despite many parts where she could have done slightly better, Park Hee Jung’s performance as Ye Seon-ho, a model going through a painful phase regarding her professional front, was fun to witness in her first role in the movie.
It was a beautiful series all around. K-drama fans will watch it at least once, but I’m not sure if it has the rewatch factor.
The Fabulous is now streaming on Netflix.
