The Republican movement has “weakened a lot” since the death of the Queen

Australian foreign affairs editor Greg Sheridan said Australia’s republican movement has “weakened so much” since the death of Queen Elizabeth II, that the republic has very little chance of becoming a reality.

“There has been a huge outpouring of support for the monarchy and love for Queen Elizabeth,” he told Sky News Australia.

Sheridan described the Republican movement as “incredibly disorganized” and “poorly led.”

He said, “They had no enthusiasm… They had no convincing vision.”
