Trevor Noah is leaving The Daily Show in order to stand up for a career

after, after Seven years of hosting Daily Showcomedian Trevor Noah, who took over the show from Jon Stewart in 2015, plans to leave the show in order to focus more on stand-up comedy.

On Thursday, Noah revealed his plan to the public while programming the show in New York.

South African-born Noah took over in 2015 after longtime host Jon Stewart exited. Under his supervision, the show began to cater to younger audiences.

As of now, there is no word on when he plans to leave the show or who could potentially replace him Daily Showwhich has been broadcast for 25 years.

During the Covid-19 lockdown in the US, Noah continued to entertain television viewers with comedy from his New York apartment. Noah also became the first late night talk show host to film from home.
