Unemployment rate in New Zealand, second quarter of 2022

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 3.3% in the second quarter from 3.2% in the first quarter, which was the lowest reading since 1986.

Meanwhile, the underemployment rate – which includes both unemployment and underemployment – fell to 9.2% in the second quarter from 9.3% in the first.
