Virtual Mirrors to Try: Pictofit Mirror

German fashion brand Hugo Boss has announced the launch of the “PictoFit Mirror”, a new augmented reality device designed to allow customers to experience nearly thousands of the brand’s products. The new technology will automatically personalize all pieces of clothing according to the shopper’s physical dimensions to ensure they can test for realistic sizes.

This mirror-like technology was developed by design studio Reactive Reality, which is designed to create a retail solution that can mimic the experience of trying on clothing in a store. To use the PictoFit Mirror, shoppers will be asked to create a digital avatar of themselves by entering their specific body dimensions.

To start, the PictoFit Mirror by Hugo Boss will only be offered at the brand’s UK retail locations.
