World Economic Conference November 11-13, 2022 Orlando

This year the WEC may return to normal. People travel from Europe and Asia, and this reunion was probably great as many were almost there. It would be nice to see many old friends because there is no such thing as face-to-face communication. The spirit of the old chambers of commerce was also better than sitting in seclusion from the screen. We hope that most of our international staff will also return to Florida, which seems to have become the last land of the free and the home of the brave. I’d like to thank Governor DeSantis for allowing us to continue to hold our annual events during COVID. At least they were streamable events.

This year it will be the calm before the storm. As we have seen with these matrices, they have remained accurate in projecting events even 12 years ago. As we look to 2023, we have crazy markets, civil unrest escalating, politics going completely insane all over the world, and unfortunately a war with no peacemakers in sight.

We have the entire world to look forward to with markets and issues becoming critical in 2023 in Asia and Europe. We’ve had people attending these events since the first event in 1985. This will be a significant event for this 37th year of 1985 (4.3 x 8.6). I hope this is the last live event now. But we’ll see.

Here’s a clip from WEC from 1985 explaining the natural hedge we were teaching clients at the time that led to them accusing me of starting the Takeover Boom campaign. No one seems to understand, but we’ve been advising most buyout guys like Alan Bond who bought Courage Pubs in Britain.

However, we were financing it by borrowing in a currency that would drop 20-30% on forex, which was way off-putting. These were the charts that may have started the takeover boom that show the book value of the shares has gone down so much, that we’re going to buy a company, sell its assets, and double or triple our money in that time.

Ah, the old days. As they say – to be young against but to know what I know today.

Of course, they made a movie about it all. I don’t remember who, but someone called when they were making this movie.

I explained what we were going through, but I don’t think this really made it to the movie.

With politics, war and markets going crazy, this World Economic Conference looks interesting
